Candidates for the 2026 CAM Board of Directors

November 11, 2025 - The Construction Association of Michigan (CAM) is excited to announce the nominees for the upcoming Board of Directors election. We are pleased to introduce you to these exceptional candidates who are dedicated to steering the direction of the Association and shaping the future of the construction industry. Through a member voting process, three will be selected and installed during the 140th CAM Annual Meeting on Tuesday, February 3, 2026. Board members serve a three-year term.

Voting will be conducted online, with one contact from each member firm receiving one ballot via email on November 11, 2025. The deadline to vote is December 5, 2025. Participation in this important process will help determine the direction of CAM and its continued commitment to the construction community. Nominees

David A. Alexander, D.A. Alexander & Company, Inc.

AlexanderBackground: For more than 45 years, David Alexander has built and strengthened D.A. Alexander & Company, Inc., applying his technical expertise and industry experience to every aspect of landscape construction and snow removal. In addition to leading D.A. Alexander & Company, Inc., he founded RJR Services, Inc. in 1998, a firm providing commercial sweeping and facilities maintenance across southeastern Michigan.

David serves on the Board of Directors of the Home Builders Association of Southeastern Michigan (HBA) and is a member of the Michigan Green Industry Association (MGIA). When not at work, you can find David enjoying outdoor activities of hunting, fishing, and golfing. He also values time with family and takes an active role in supporting his grandchildren, regularly attending and cheering them on at their athletic events. 

 Joseph E. Maiuri, Shores Tile Company, Inc.

J.Maiuri

Background: Joseph Maiuri is the President and sole owner of Shores Tile, a family-owned business founded by his father in 1966. After studying marketing at Bob Jones University and working as a sales rep, Joseph returned to Michigan in 1997. He moved from fieldwork to the office in 2012, joining ownership in 2016, and became President in 2022.

Joseph is active in the Detroit Ceramic Tile Association and has served on its Board of Directors since 2017. He has also participated in labor negotiations for BAC Local 2. Married for 26 years, Joseph and his wife Tonya have four children. He enjoys family time, sports, house projects, and golfing.

Donald J. McCoy, Oakland Metal Sales, Inc.

Untitled design (5)-1Background: Don McCoy is the President of Oakland Metal Sales, a family-owned and operated distributor of copper, brass, aluminum, stainless steel, and pre-finished metal products based in Auburn Hills. Don holds a marketing degree from Oakland University and a J.D. from DePaul University College of Law.

He is a licensed attorney and an active member of SMACNA, the Copper & Brass Supply Chain Association, the National Roofing Contractors Association, and the Metal Construction Association. Outside of work, Don is an avid outdoorsman and devoted Detroit sports fan. He is a member of Hunters Creek Club and enjoys spending time with his wife, Kate, and their three children. 

Heather J. Obrecht White, Auger Klein Aller Architects

Obrecht White_Heather croppedBackground: Heather Obrecht White serves as Senior Vice President at Auger Klein Aller Architects, where she directs business development, human resources, and strategic initiatives to drive firm growth and operational success. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Albion College, with studies including English, Public Relations, and urban programs in Philadelphia and Europe.

Heather demonstrates leadership through her involvement with CREW Detroit, Leadership Oakland, and local chambers of commerce. Outside of work, she enjoys farmers marketing, entertaining, golf, clay shooting, art and antiques, and exploring the beaches of Lake Michigan. Heather is passionate about connecting people and ideas within the industry and takes great satisfaction in mentoring emerging professionals building careers in design and construction.

 Brian G. Parvin, CASS Sheet Metal

Brian ParvinBackground: Brian Parvin is the Vice President of CASS Sheet Metal, a Detroit-based family business specializing in architectural roofing and facades. He began his construction career as a project engineer with the Christman Company, contributing to the Book Tower redevelopment. A 2020 graduate of Michigan Technological University with a degree in mechanical engineering, Brian also led volunteer projects for Engineers without Borders in Panama and Bolivia and studied abroad in Spain.

Brian, raised in the construction industry, is active in several organizations, including SMACNA Detroit and the Detroit Economic Club. He is also a founding member of the CAM Young Professionals Group. Brian and his wife Megan have a one-year-old son, Callen. They enjoy spending time with family and friends, trips up north to Lewiston and the Upper Peninsula, skiing, traveling, boating, and trying new restaurants.

Ross B. Winiemko, Curtis Glass Company

WiniemkoBackground:  Ross Winiemko is a Project Manager with Curtis Glass Company, where he leads project management, business development, estimating, and contract negotiations for major commercial projects across the Midwest. Ross studied engineering at Eastern Michigan University, where he was also a pitcher on the University’s baseball team, winning the 2003 Mid-American Conference Championship.

He serves as President of the Glazing Contractors Association, sits on the IUPAT Glaziers Local Union 357 Joint Apprenticeship Training Committee, and is a Trustee for the Industry Advancement Fund. He is also an active member of the Michigan Glass and Glazing Board of Trustees. Ross and his wife, Chelsea, live in Michigan with their three sons – Tyler, Reece, and Chase. Outside of work, Ross enjoys coaching baseball, playing hockey, traveling with family, and exploring locally owned restaurants.
