14th Annual Mid-Year Economic Forecast


Construction Association of Michigan and Home Builders Association of Southeastern Michigan Partner to Present the 2024 Mid-Year Economic Forecast Breakfast 

BLOOMFIELD HILLS, Michigan – Construction Association of Michigan (CAM) and the Home Builders Association of Southeastern Michigan (HBA) have partnered to present the 14th annual Mid-Year Economic Forecast and State of the Industry Breakfast on Thursday, June 27, 2024. The event offers a comprehensive overview of the current and projected economic factors that impact the construction industry.


The breakfast program will be held at the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi and will feature keynote speaker Elliot Eisenberg, Ph.D., Chief Economist of Graphs and Laughs, LLC. Elliot is an internationally acclaimed economist and public speaker specializing in making the arcana and minutia of economics fun, relevant and educational.

The morning begins with a tradeshow and opportunity for guests to meet the keynote speaker from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m., including networking and tabletop displays. This will be followed by a full family-style breakfast and the Elliot’s forecast from 9:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. 

Kevin Koehler, president of CAM noted, “We have successfully demonstrated, for the past 14 years, that an economic forecast including both commercial and residential factors is a valuable service to everyone involved in construction throughout southeastern Michigan.”

Forrest M. Wall, CEO of HBA and the Apartment Association of Michigan agrees and added, “Our keynote speaker will provide important insights and information to aid our members and guests as they make important business decisions for the remainder of 2024 and beyond.”

Registration fees for the event are $80/person.
