Michigan voters headed to the polls on May 5, 2026, approving bond proposals for 14 school districts. The approved bond proposals collectively total more than $708 million worth of new construction-related work to the state.

Southeast Michigan Proposals
- Macomb County: Roseville Community Schools requested a $175 million bond with Partners in Architecture as the bond architect. The proposal involves remodeling all the school buildings, including the middle school auditorium, and building a new elementary school building. Other plans include acquiring and installing instructional technology infrastructure and improving sites at school buildings.
- Genesee County: Grand Blanc Community Schools voters approved a $149 million bond proposal. Integrated Design Solutions is the architect. The proposal includes building a new performing arts center addition to the High School East, an early childhood center addition to the Perry Center and classroom additions to the elementary school buildings. All school buildings and facilities will undergo improvements.
- Wayne County: Huron School District voters passed a $65.8 million bond with French Associates as the architect. The project includes improvements across all buildings, erecting a school support facility and building, and improving playgrounds, athletic fields and facilities, parking areas, driveways, and sites.
Mid-Michigan Area Proposals
- Bay County: Bay City School District received voter approval for a $72 million bond. WTA Architects is the architect. The proposal includes adding additions and improvements like asbestos abatement and HVAC to all school buildings. Improvements also include natural grass athletic fields and athletic facilities, playgrounds, and sites.
- Sanilac County: Croswell-Lexington Community Schools voters passed a $37.1 million bond with French Associates as the architect. The proposal details improving school buildings, structures, playgrounds, and other facilities.
West Michigan Proposals
- Jackson County: Grass Lake Community Schools requested a $41.9 million bond with Kingscott Associates as the architect. The proposal calls for partially remodeling the elementary school, middle school, and high school buildings; erecting an indoor athletic facility structure; and improving a playground.
- Muskegon County: Public Schools of the City of Muskegon voters approved a $37.1 million bond with Pure Architecture & Development serving as the architect. The proposal included remodeling and adding additions to school buildings across the district. Plans also include improving playground, athletic fields, and parking areas.
- Muskegon County: Ravenna Public Schools voters passed a $22.6 million bond with Tower Pinkster as the architect. The proposal included remodeling school buildings and facilities and improving and equipping athletic fields, playgrounds, structures, facilities.
- Jackson County: Columbia School District requested a $14.8 million bond with TMP as the architect. The proposal included additions to school buildings, and improving playgrounds, athletics fields, facilities, and parking areas.
- Kalamazoo County: Galesburg-Augusta Community Schools requested an $11.2 million bond with Tower Pinkster as the architect. The proposal included remodeling school buildings and facilities and building a new transportation facility.
- Berrien County: Coloma Community Schools voters supported an $8.7 million bond. Tower Pinkster is the architect. The proposal included remodeling, re-equipping, and improving all building across the district.
- Berrien County: Eau Claire Public Schools voters passed a $7 million bond proposal with Tower Pinkster as the architect. The proposal included remodeling and re-equipping school buildings, including HVAC improvements.
Upper Peninsula Proposals
- Marquette County: Marquette Area Public Schools requested a $59.9 million bond. Integrated Designs, Inc., is the architect. The proposal includes additions and improvements to four elementary schools, one middle school, and two high schools.
- Ontonagon County: Ewen-Trout Creek Consolidated School District voters supported a $6.1 million bond with Orchard, Hiltz and McCliment (OHM) as the architect. The proposal included remodeling the school building, erecting a bus garage, and improving athletic fields, facilities, and parking areas.
